Hotel Theodore Seattle

Hotel Theodore Seattle

I’m excited to show you all my experience at the luxurious Hotel Theodore Seattle and Rider Restaurant. I love being a tourist in my own city and staying at one of Seattle’s iconic hotels was a great opportunity. Hotel Theodore inhabits a building whose iconic rooftop sign has long been a neon beacon in Seattle’s skyline. The hotel also is located right in the heart of downtown shopping area, so it’s prefect for the holidays. If you check out my video you’ll see details of my room my interaction with hotel staff and all of the delicious food I ate at Rider.

Road Trip Maritime part 4 (final)

Our trip to Ferme 5 Étoiles was amazing! Ferme 5 Etoiles (5 star farm) is the perfect place to bring your family and enjoy the peace and magic of winter. This farm has all sorts of wild animals including Emu, Goats, Yaks, horses and more.  I personally experienced nemurous unique adventures during this trip including driving my own dogsled team, sampling my first traditional Quebecois sugar shack experience and my first snowmobile ride.
Thanks to Quebec Maritime Tourism for this great adventure. If you would like ideas on planning your own adventure please their site.

Road Trip Quebec Maritime Part 3

It was nice to get a relaxing break from the previous days activities. Our next stay was at the incredible Hotel Riôtel Matane. This hotel was extremely relaxing and located directly on the beach of the St. Lawrence River. After a brief overnight stay we headed on the road to ferry the river toward Baie-Comeau. The video about is a recap of our experiences.

Road Trip Quebec Maritime: Part 2

What a wild ride! Day 2 of our Quebec Maritime experience landed us on a tree top adventure through the frozen forest. The Aerial Park is located not far from the property we stayed in the night before, Domaine Valga and includes 94 games of increasing difficulty levels. I was not an instant pro at these games but it was fun to attempt.

Portland is Happening Now

#PDXNOW BEER

Portland is Happening Now

Around this time last year I went on an a epic adventure through Portland, Oregon courtesy of Travel Portland and the “Portland is Happening Now” campaign. The “Portland is Happening Now” campaign highlights tourism to Portland during the winter months.

This year Travel Portland is not only highlighting great deals around the Portland area, they’re also partnering with the Base Camp Brewing company. 10 Portland breweries have paired up to create 10 different #PDXNOW brews. Kind of a random fact but did you know Portland currently has the most breweries of any city in the world? It surprised me when I found out. Travel Portland sent me one of their beers (Bridge Builder) to try. I’m interested to see what it taste like. Bottoms up!

Kayaking in the Puget Sound

September 11, 2014

Ballard Kayak invited me out to enjoy their Discovery Point Kayak & Hiking Tour. As this was my first time Kayaking, I was a bit nervous. My guide gave me a brief training lesson on the beach and afterwards we were off! The 3.5 hr tour starts at Golden Gardens and continues on to Discovery Point. Once at Discovery Point, we went on a short hike to Discovery Bluff to get a view of the Olympic Mountains. Before heading back to Golden Gardens we enjoyed a gourmet lunch and paddled through Shilshole Marina. During the trek back I got to see a few animals like eagles and sleepy floating seals. My experience with Ballard Kayak was fantastic and I recommend it to any one who enjoys being out on the water.

I took my GoPro along with me so you can experience the tour as I did. I hope you enjoy it!
