I really like going to San Francisco. In many ways the city really reminds Seattle but in other ways it’s very different. One of my favorite things about SF is that it’s so multicultural. So many many people packed into a small area. Perfect place for a quick trip!
EATING ABROAD:TIRANA, ALBANIA
Eating in Albania was interesting. The cuisine is a mixture of different cultures including Italian and Turkish foods. Here’s a video of one experience while eating in Tirana, Albania. For images of my experience check here.

Olympus M.Zuiko 75mm f/1.8 lens
Every year it seems like I add another lens to my Olympus OM-D e-m5 arsenal. This year purchased the Olympus M.Zuiko 75mm f/1.8 lens. I’m really excited about this new toy because it captures exceptional images and it’s ultra quite when recording video. The only draw back to this lens is the price because it’s not cheap. For a mirco 4/3 camera it’s pretty expensive but if you can afford it, I say treat yo’self!

I’m glad I got a chance to be out in the snow. For some reason it doesn’t feel like winter has truly started until I experience heavy snow fall. Seeing all this snow reminds me of fun times growing up in Detroit. Great times!
Snow Day
After all the hustle and bustle of the holidays I decided it was time for me to get some peace a quite. Driving through the Cascade Mountains during winter time can be so tranquil. In most areas no one is around and you have plenty of time to enjoy nature and get away from all the crowds.

The Spud Shack
Yesterday I received a private tasting at The Spud Shack in New Westminster, BC. The Spud Shack is known for it‘s Vanfoodster award winning Poutine, but they also sell local craft beer, a variety of burgers and delicious desserts.
I was really excited about tasting the veggie burger option. The veggie burger had tons of flavor and when paired with the vegan-based gravy in the poutine, The Spud Shack menu is a vegetarians delight. The only thing I didn’t taste were the desserts but maybe I’ll save that for next time.
Other highlights include: “Eff’ing Good Burger” and the assortment of sauces.
Here’s a Instagram video I made for VisitDetroit.com. The figurine in the video is a mini version of the statue called, The Spirit of Detroit. The statue is placed in iconic parts of Detroit, like the Joe Louis fist and the highly recognizable GM Renaissance Center. I hope you enjoy it.
