Howdy Ya’ll! I ‘ll be in Austin, Texas to partake in #SXSW for the rest of the week. Hopefully I can get some good posts out of my travels. This is my first time in visiting Texas and participating in a conference of this size so I’m pretty excited. If you have any ideas on cool parties or festivities please tweet me or leave me a message.
To celebrate the first anniversary of their Ballard (Seattle) location, Digs is excited to host a month-long pop-in shop by with Portland-based footwear powerhouse Solestruck, and Seattle’s own Grey City Shoes.
The growing trend of pop-up shops got us thinking, and Solestruck seemed like an obvious choice – modern design and fashion go hand in hand,” says Digs founder and co-owner, Gretchen Knudsen, “We’re a lifestyle store, so adding shoes to the mix just extends our product offering within that framework.”
The temporary pop-in-shop will kick off with a launch party from 7:00pm to 10:00pm on Saturday, March 8th. Attendees can sip champagne, try on the season’s freshest footwear styles, enter a raffle for one of several free pairs of shoes and enjoy a goody bag chock-full of swag with their purchase. Below is a goody bag and one item in it’s contents.

Raw Artist Seattle Feb 27, 2014 Showbox Theater
It was was really fun submitting my film Tokyo:Through my lens to RAW. It was a exciting experience and I would recommend to any budding artist. Over a thousand people were in attendance last night to observe Seattle’s raw talent. For more RAW Artist Seattle 2014 available on flickr
My favorite part of the night were the musical performances. Two of my favorite musical acts of the night was PHNK and Elbow Coulee.
Music and traveling go together like peanut butter and jelly, so when I travel I make sure to have an assortment of brilliant tracks to listen to during my Journey. Whether it’s land, sea or air, all of these great tunes have something to do with traveling. Here are my top 5 travel songs of 2014. Songs are in no particular order.
M.I.A. – Paper Planes
This song is a instant classic with MIA’s lazy flow and Diplo’s unconventional beats.
Vic Mensa – Suitcase (feat. Chance The Rapper)
Chicago rappers Vic Mensa and Chance combine a chill beat with some cool midwest swagger.
Daft Punk – Around the world
Before Daft Punk was getting “lucky”, they went around the world. This track was from the duos first studio album “Homework”.
Lupe Fiasco – Paris Tokyo remix
Pharrell Williams, Q-Tip & Sarah Green lend their voices in this cool remix.
Metronomy – The Bay
Put on your boating shoes and your nautical glasses because this London based band wants to take you to the bay.
Thursday, February 12, 2014 ZARA, Westlake Seattle
Although tomorrow is the official opening of Zara Westlake, a select few were invited to check out the store before the public. Here’s a few shots of the opening.
A few shots of the Mens collection.
Personally, I’m glad to see another store like ZARA come to downtown Seattle because I feel like it gives shoppers more options for ready-to-wear off the runway apparel and also now I don’t have to travel to Vancouver, BC to purchase their clothes.

This video is fast paced first person view of my travels from Seattle to Portland and back again. Thanks to TravelPortland.com, Amtrak Cascades, and Timbuk2 for helping me out with this project. I’ve provided links to pretty much everything I did while I was in Portland. Some things on this list will be in the video and some not. Frankly, there were too many things to put in the #PDXAntonio video so decided this way would be best. For additional #PDXAntonio photos. I hope you Enjoy!

During my journeys walking around downtown portland, I found some time to interview the experienced Bob Davis, about Portland style and how people put things together. Bob Davis can be at imogene + willie, located right outside the pearl district (Downtown Portland’s shopping area).
Who are you and how long have you been in the Portland fashion scene?
My name is Bob Davis. I have lived in portland almost 8 years. I moved here to direct and buy for a local apparel retailer so I have been in the scene from the start.
How would you define your personal style?
I would define my style as a mix of classic, casual, vintage inspired. My foundation is a tee shirt, boots and jeans, then i build from there.
How would you describe the Portland fashion scene?
The portland fashion scene is as diverse as the residents but inspired by 3 distinct influences; the outdoors(think patagonia), sport(think nike) and rugged individualism(think filson).
In your opinion are there any trends shoppers should be looking out for?
In general I am seeing a DIY, mashup of vintage, rugged outdoor and tailored suiting. Also wool is important, fashionable technical outerwear, boots and denim.
