Moment Lens Review (60mm)

As travel blogger I always tussle back and forth over image quality versus convenience. Sometime carrying around a DSLR or even a Mirco 4/3 camera just isn’t conducive for those quick snaps. For this review I decided to try the 60 mm Telephoto attachable lens from Moment.  The 60mm is used to pull subjects closer and provides excellent image quality.

After testing, I found the lens to be worthwhile.  I do have some thoughts on how Moment it can improve it. Below I have broken down some pros and cons of this well crafted lens. The code “firstmoment” will give you 15% discount on all purchases.

    Sky Jumper

    February 23, 2015

I’ve been a little busy lately but I did have some time to take some levitation photos at Kerry Park. I’m really starting to like this style of photography. It’s simple but also makes a big impact.

    Portland is Happening Now

    February 6, 2015

    Portland is Happening Now

Around this time last year I went on an a epic adventure through Portland, Oregon courtesy of Travel Portland and the “Portland is Happening Now” campaign. The “Portland is Happening Now” campaign highlights tourism to Portland during the winter months.

This year Travel Portland is not only highlighting great deals around the Portland area, they’re also partnering with the Base Camp Brewing company. 10 Portland breweries have paired up to create 10 different #PDXNOW brews. Kind of a random fact but did you know Portland currently has the most breweries of any city in the world? It surprised me when I found out. Travel Portland sent me one of their beers (Bridge Builder) to try. I’m interested to see what it taste like. Bottoms up!

    Menswear: Recess Wallet

While in San Francisco I met up with the good people at Recess. Recess gave me two of their ultra thin wallets for review. I found out these wallets to be perfect for traveling and very high quality. I especially like the color selections and softness.

These high end wallets are typically priced at 180$ to 96$ but the code “asmith” will get you 20% percent off.

    Quick trip to SF

    January 15, 2015

I really like going to San Francisco. In many ways the city really reminds Seattle but in other ways it’s very different. One of my favorite things about SF is that it’s so multicultural. So many many people packed into a small area. Perfect place for a quick trip!

Eating in Albania was interesting. The cuisine is a mixture of different cultures including Italian and Turkish foods. Here’s a video of one experience while eating in Tirana, Albania. For images of my experience check here.

    Olympus M.Zuiko 75mm f/1.8‎ lens

Every year it seems like I add another lens to my Olympus OM-D e-m5 arsenal. This year purchased the Olympus M.Zuiko 75mm f/1.8‎ lens. I’m really excited about this new toy because it captures exceptional images and it’s ultra quite when recording video. The only draw back to this lens is the price because it’s not cheap. For a mirco 4/3 camera it’s pretty expensive but if you can afford it, I say treat yo’self!
